ABOUT THE CRITIQUE GROUP

In this critique, Matthew Baum will lead a productive and supportive group conversation about your work, aiming to enhance your skills as an image-maker and foster your growth as an artist. You will be encouraged to create photographs and bodies of work that are authentic, personally meaningful, and accessible to your chosen audience. The critique will cover aesthetic choices, conceptual ideas, and practical concerns such as writing an artist's statement. Additionally, you will learn to analyze photos with greater sensitivity and enhance your confidence in discussing your work and that of others in the group.

NOTES

• Participants will share work in each session.

• New group members will have a 20-minute one-to-one with Matthew before their first class.

• Participants are required to attend their monthly sessions consecutively.

• Enrollment renewal must be completed at least thirty days before a participant's final class to secure their spot in the group.

• As this is an ongoing workshop, Matthew may occasionally need to reschedule a session.

• If a participant is unable to attend the makeup class, an additional session will be added to the end of their six-month package.
